Mandi Mettler
A proud Central Coast native, Mandi Mettler earned her Master's in Teaching from USC and brings extensive professional dance and teaching experience to SLOHS. Before entering the classroom she trained with world-renowned choreographers and performed professionally for the LA Clippers, MLS Chivas USA and the LA Rams, appearing with artists including Rihanna and Carrie Underwood and working alongside director Kenny Ortega. She was a founding member of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Dance Marathon and has volunteered with organizations supporting families experiencing homelessness, children facing medical challenges, and survivors of abuse. Now in her third year at SLOHS, she recently directed and choreographed the school's production of Urinetown, which earned the Rita Moreno Award for Outstanding Overall Production. She founded the SLOHS Dance Team in 2025-26 and coaches it alongside teaching the school's three dance classes.
